Programme Synopsis
The Specialist Diploma in Applied Child Psychology is designed to provide you an insight in the development of children. Whether you are an educator or parents, this course will provide you the knowledge and skills that will help you understand the world of the child in designing an appropriate learning environment to make him/her to reach his/her potential. The module covers the mental processes and behaviors of children during the various stages of development and learning, including cognitive, physical, social, emotional, moral development. The module covers learning strategies, psychological & behavioural issues, educational assessment and diagnosing and treating children with disabilities and working with families.
This programme is highly recommended for all educators, parents and professionals, including for those who work in the fields of social services, healthcare settings, human resource management, counselling and other related fields.
Programme Structure & Duration
The Specialist Diploma in Applied Child Psychology is 18 months part time programme. We have day time and evening classes. The Specialist Diploma in Applied Child Psychology will award you 120 Credit Accumulation Transfer (CATS) points in order to gain the Specialist Diploma awarded by Mind Map Business School.
Entry Requirement
Minimum entry requirement will be GCE "N'/'O' levels or graduates with Certificate/Diploma in Preschool Teaching/Diploma in Applied Psychology, or other relevant certificates or equivalent. Applicants with other experiences and / or qualifications will be considered on case-by-case basis.

Academic Progression
